Only one thing is permanent and that is change. Change makes opportunities come alive. Everything is in the process of constant change and permanence is an incorrect idea. People often avoid change and are afraid of it. It is very hard for them to leave their comfort zone. Force, fear and facts are powerful factors to change but it probably not works. Joy is a more powerful motivator than fear of dying. A permanent change in lifestyle could change your life. Would you change? If the answer is 'yes'. Research shows that you are probably wrong. 9 to 1 chance are that you will change. You may change to a few weeks. After 6 weeks or so you will reverse your old lifestyle.

An article published by Fast Company in which they asked about a case study. This study includes 100 men with severe heart disease. Doctors recommend heart surgery for them. They asked them surgery will not work unless they will change their behaviors. A contract was made between them. For at least three years they will follow a strict diet, moderate exercise, practice yoga once a week, sitting for 5 minutes early in the morning, clearing their mind and getting prepared for the day.

The situation for them was change or die. The first-year result was outstanding, all of them stick towards the contract. 2nd year one third were lost and by the end of 3rd year only three stick towards the program. What happened? They were excited towards change, want to change but after 3 years 97 of them go back to their old ways.
